Are you on Trunkt?

I heard about this great site that features artisans and artists. You have to submit your work to be juried, but its free and a great promotional tool.

I was accepted with my SX-70 work, you can check out my gallery here...

Fun cards

Today's project is this set of Spring note cards. I made them for my etsy shop. This week it will be a challenge to make something each day as I am working on a website that I am excited to finish. I suppose it would count towards the one-a-day challenge-but even though buildin websites can be fun, it is still a lot of work. The one-a-day is for fun stuff.

my first bag

I decided to make a tote bag with the great fabric that I bought at Ikea.

I have found that when making these crafty things, I enjoy the process almost more than the final product. That is true of my graphic design and art work as well. There is just something about the making part that is so satisfying.

The final product is not that bad considering I am still learning how to sew on my machine and Mike had to show me how to use the measurements on my cutting mat to make mitered corners! And even though the pocket is crooked, I think its a keeper.

Hey-this puts me ahead one day on my challenge!

The Lucky One

I am working on a set of new drawings/collages. This is the first of the series-and for now it is done.

Made Today

So the first day of my challenge, I designed business cards for a friend and made these neat placemats. The pattern is from Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing book. They were super easy to make and I used fabric recycled from past projects.

One-A Day Challenge

I have decided to try a mid-month challenge of making one new thing a day, until the end of the month. Nothing like a little pressure to keep the creative juices flowing!

New Things I've Made

Amidst all the chaos in our house, I have found time to make some new felt friends. I have posted them to my etsy shop, just in time for Easter. They are so fun to make, I am working on some new designs.
